The Vision
This stunning custom home was designed for clients seeking a blend of luxury, functionality, and sustainability. They envisioned a spacious lakefront retreat that offered modern amenities, accessibility features, and seamless integration with the natural surroundings.
The Design
At approximately 7,000 square feet, this three-level home was designed with both comfort and efficiency in mind. Key features include:
Accessibility: Walk-in showers and wide-open spaces for easy navigation across all levels.
Energy Efficiency: Solar panels and double wall construction for superior insulation and reduced energy consumption. The large triple pane windows throughout the home not only maximize natural light but also provide uninterrupted views of the surrounding lakefront scenery. As an added bonus, with the orientation of the house, they also provide passive solar heating for the home.
Luxury Living: A three-car attached garage, an open-concept kitchen, and an attached sunroom that invites natural light and breathtaking views of the lake. COmplete with in home gym and movie theatre/golf simulator.
Outdoor Enhancements: A paved driveway and landscaping that seamlessly blends with the natural rock of the lake lot. Natural path to the waters edge for cottage like feel.
The Process
This project presented a unique challenge due to the site’s natural rocky and sloping terrain. Rather than removing or burying the rock, we incorporated it into the design, using it as an landscaping aesthetic and structural element to make the home appear as though it naturally belongs on the lot.
By working closely with the clients through site visit and design meetings, and our trusted network of sub-trades, we ensured the project was completed on time and met the high standards we set for every build.
The Result
The finished home is a harmonious blend of style, comfort, and efficiency. The open-concept layout creates a welcoming atmosphere for entertaining, while the sunroom and large windows provide serene spaces to enjoy the beauty of lakefront living. Thanks to thoughtful design and sustainable features, this house is not only a dream home but also a model of energy-efficient construction.
